Oriane Bertone

I was born in Nice in 2005, but I discovered climbing "at home", in Réunion at the age of 8. I started climbing by chance on a holiday camp and then I enrolled in the Saint Leu club : "7 à l'Ouest". I live in the west of Reunion Island, where there are also many boulder sectors and some crags. Climbing on the island is fantastic, but my favorite is traveling: Fontainebleau, Rocklands, Watervall Boven, Saint Léger etc. I hope to discover about many other sectors, especially in Italy, my father's birthplace. My best performances are in bouldering. The ones I remember most are: "Fragile Steps" (8A+/B) at 11 and Golden Shadow (8B/+) at 12, in Rocklands (ZA). The Spartiate sit and Psychopad sit (8B) in Reunion Island. La cicatrice de l'Ohm (8A+/B) and Trafic (8B) in Fontainbleau. In lead I loved so much working and climbing "Chykungunya" (8c/+), which I made the first ascent. In competition I will always remember my first international season (2019), where I managed to win both bouldering and lead World and European Youth B titles. How much work and what a fantastic memory! I'm very happy to be part of the E9 team to experience all these adventures!

Sono nata a Nizza nel 2005, ma l'arrampicata l'ho scoperta alla Réunion all'età di 8 anni. Ho iniziato a scalare per caso in uno stage di vacanze e mi sono poi iscritta nel club Saint Leu, nell'ovest dell'isola, dove ci sono molti settori di boulder e qualche falesia. Scalare sull'isola è fantastico, ma quello che preferisco sono i viaggi : Fontainebleau, Rocklands, Boven, Saint Léger ecc. Spero di conoscere molti altri settori, soprattutto in Italia, il paese natale di mio papà. Le mie migliori prestazioni sono in boulder. Quelle di cui mi ricordo di più sono : “Fragile Steps” (8A+/B) a 11 anni e Golden Shadow (8B/+) a 12 anni, a Rocklands. Psychopad sit (8B) alla Reunion e La Cicatrice dell'Ohm (8A+/B) e Trafic (8B) a Fontainbleau. In falesia, mi ha appassionato lavorare su "Chykungunya" (8c/+), dove ho realizzato la prima salita. In gara mi ricordo soprattutto della mia prima esperienza internazionale con l'Equipe de France di boulder : La Coppa d'Europa a Soure (in Portogallo), ad aprile 2019, che sono riuscita a vincere. L'arrampicata è per ora tutta la mia vita e sono felice di essere nella Team e9 per vivere questa avventura!
